Who we are
We are Gleamers, a mobile cleaning business in Liverpool. We valet and detail cars, and we clean carpets, sofas, rugs and mattresses at your home or workplace.
We decide how your details are used. Under UK data protection law (the UK GDPR) that makes us the "controller". The owner's name and address for service will appear here before launch.
To ask us anything about your details, message us on
WhatsApp on 07940 553222 or use the contact form on this site.
What we collect and why
We collect only what we need to answer you, book you in, do the job and get paid.
- The contact form. You type your name, a phone number or email address, and your message. We use them to reply to you. The form on this preview does not send anything yet, so please use WhatsApp for now.
- WhatsApp. When you message us we see your name as set in WhatsApp, your phone number, your messages and any photos you send. We use them to give you a price, plan a visit and answer your questions. Photos of your car, carpet or sofa are used only to quote for and plan the job.
- Booking on Setmore. The Book now button takes you to our booking page on Setmore. You give Setmore your name, contact details and the time you want. Setmore passes those details to us so we can do the job.
- Your visit. To come to you we need your address and how to park and get in. We keep a note of what we did and how you paid.
- Payments. If you pay by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay, the company that processes the payment has its own privacy notice. If you pay cash, we only note that you paid.
- Visits to this website. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits and see which pages people read. It does not use your name or contact details. Cloudflare describes it as privacy-first analytics. We use it to improve the site, not to show you adverts. Cloudflare also hosts this site, so it sees your IP address when your device loads a page, as every website host does.
We use your phone number or email address only to deal with your enquiry or booking. We do not send marketing messages unless you ask us to.
Why we are allowed to use your details
- You asked us to. We need your details to answer you, book you in and do the job.
- The law says we must. We keep records of what we did and what was paid.
- It helps us run the site. We count visits to see which pages are useful.
Cookies
This site does not set any cookies of its own. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
If you follow a link to WhatsApp or Setmore, those services may use their own cookies on their own pages. Their notices explain how.
Who else sees your details
We use three outside services:
- Setmore runs our booking page.
- WhatsApp, which is part of Meta, carries our messages.
- Cloudflare hosts this website and provides the visit counts.
Each of them handles your details under its own rules, and each has a privacy notice on its own website. Some of these companies are based outside the UK, so your details may be handled outside the UK.
We do not sell your details. We do not pass them to anyone else for their own marketing.
How long we keep your details
We keep your details only for as long as we need them for the reason we collected them.
- Messages and photos. While we are dealing with your enquiry or job, and for a reasonable time after in case something needs putting right. Then we delete them.
- Booking and payment records. For as long as the law says a UK business must keep its records for tax, which is several years.
- Visit counts. We look only at totals. How long Cloudflare keeps the raw data is explained in its own notice.
Your rights
Under the UK GDPR you can ask us to:

- stop using your details for something you object to.
Message us on
WhatsApp or use the contact form to ask. It is free. We will answer within one month. We may need to check that it is you first.
If you are unhappy
Please tell us first so we can put it right. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK's data protection regulator. Visit ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or call 0303 123 1113.
Changes to this notice
If we change how we use your details, we will update this page and the date at the top.
